　　The Lieutenant Governor of Texas says Republicans missed a deadline and did not pass new restrictions on abortion. Protesters screamed down lawmakers in the final minutes before the special legislative session's deadline.

 

　　US Supreme Court is exepected Wednesday to deliver its first-ever opinions on gay marriage cases.

 

　　Massachusetts elected Democratic Congressman Ed Markey to the US Senate. He defeated Repubilcan Gabriel Gomez to win the Senate seat previously held by Secretary of State John Kerry.

 

　　And three Chinese astronauts are safely back on earth. They landed in northern China after a 15-day trip to space.
