Dustin Hoffman’s interview gonna be widely varial. The extra got tears up when talking about the iconic character in the movie Tootsie and what he learn about the pressure on women to look beautiful.       Dean has the story:

In Tootsie Dustin Hoffman plays a down and lost actor who dresses up as a woman until to land a role on the soap opera. “Don’t work and don’t work. Don’t play hard again.” The Movie came out in 1982 and was a huge hit. I’d like to make a little attractive how far can you pull back? How do you think about Cleves? Despite all the jokes in the film on his character be more than a naught than a hotty. Hoffman in a newly arrival and bracingly honest interview he said he was initially shocked when he did screen test when he look how he looked in drag. I would be a woman and I want to be as beautiful as possible. And they said to me that’s a goods as cats. In that moment he says he has a painferny. I run women start crying and talking to my wife. And I said I had to made this picture and she said why? And I said I looked myself on screen and I know if I met myself at a party I would never talk to that character because she doesn’t fulfill physically the demands that we are brought up to think… we have the women who have to have in order to ask them out. She is what she’s saying… and I have to say there are too many interesting women I have to not have the experience to know in this life. Because I have been brain washed. And that was never comedy for me.
