In today's Tech Bytes, more than just the New York Times, other major US media companies such as the Wall Street Journal say they have been the victims of Chinese hackers. Just like the Times, it's believed the hackers had ties to the Chinese government. Apple still dominates the tablet computer market with a big increase in shipments through the fourth quarter. But a research group says Apple's market share is shrinking while Samsung share more than doubled.
Facebook is now offering gift cards, its latest effort to make money. Retailers participating so far include Jamba Juice, Target and Olive Garden. The program is being rolled out gradually so you might not see it right away on Facebook.
And fans of popular video games series will have to wait a little longer for the next installment. The release of Grand Theft Auto 5 has been pushed back to later this year. Its publisher simply wants a little more time in order to polish parts of the popular video game.
