1. Egypt's Health Ministry says at least 44 people have been killed in clashes Sunday. Street battles raged for hours in Cairo and other parts of the country as authorities tried to separate rival crowds supporting Mohamed Morsi and the military.

2. The death toll in last week's sinking of a boat full of migrants off Italy has risen to at least 194. Divers pulled 83 more bodies from the water on Sunday. The search resumes tomorrow for more than 150 others believed to be missing. 

3. The system that was Tropical Storm Karen has dissolved in the Gulf of Mexico. Storm preparations in the region are being called off or scaled back, and evacuation orders have been lifted in southeastern Louisiana. 

4. And the average price of gasoline has dropped 14 cents a gallon over the past two weeks. The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says the average price of regular is now $3.38.
