Ex-tropical cyclone Owswald is casuing heavy rain in eastern Queensland. A trough over soutern NSW is generating showers and a few storms. And a monsoon trough is triggering thundery showers across WA and the NT's northern tropics. Looking around the states.
Central and northern Queensland will experience wind, rain and storms. Dry and hot in the west.
NSW can expect wind, storms and a dangerous surf in the northeast. Showers and storms also forecast for southeast, hot in the west.
In Victoira, showers and storms in the east, possibly heavy, dry elsewhere with cooler gusty southerly winds.
A few showers in Tasmania's north and east, light to moderate "south to southerly winds".
In South Australia, fresh southeasterly winds throughout, hot in the far north and cool in the south.
Showers and storms expected in WA's Pilbara and Gascoyne regions, dry, hot and mostly sunny in the southwest.
In the Northern Territory, showers and storms in the north, mostly sunny and hot in the south with southeasterlies.
