The o(口误) iconic Aussie food maker Rosella will close down after nearly 120 years in business with the company's 70 remaining workers to lose their jobs in the next few weeks. Receivers Ferrier Hodgson last night announced they have not been able to sell the business and will not try to sell its brands including Resella tomato sauce and stromboli pasta sauces. The gourmet food group, which includes Rosella foods, was placed in receivership in November last year. Other parts of the group have already been sold or are in the process of being sold.
The Brazilian economy grew at its slowest pace for three years in 2012, according to official figures. New data released by Brazil's Institute of Geography and Statistics shows(口误) the country's GDP grew by just 0.9 per cent in the year. At the start of the year, the Brazilian government was predicting a 4.5 per cent growth. President Dilma Rousseff has been trying to stimulate the economy with tax cuts and low interests rates. |
