South Korea's Samsung group has won a five-billion-dollar contract to redevelop Western Australia's Roy Hill iron ore mining project. The company confirmed the contract is to build a process plant to export iron ore as well as a railway line and port infrastructure at Port Hedland. Roy Hill holdings is predominately owned by Gina Rinehart's compay Hancock Prospecting. China's consumer watchdog is reportedly ramping up its scrutiny of Apple products amid a wave of bad publicity in the country. Authorities are being urged to keep a close eye on Apple's warranty policies. China's state media has accused Apple of offering a discriminatory after sale service in China, including shorter warranty periods.
And fourth-quarter growth in United State's economy was faster than originally thought, the economy grew 0.4%, largely thanks to increase investments in plant and equipment, that's up from the anticipate 0.1%, despite the upward supervision, the department of commerce warned that the economy remained sluggish. |
