 And an associated trough off the Queensland coast is causing showers and gusty winds along the coast. A weak front is causing patchy rain over Victoria and Tasmania. While a high is keeping the remainder of NSW, Victoria and South Australia mostly clear. A trough over western Australia is producing showers in the southwest.

For Queensland, rain in the east, heavy at times. For the showers, easing and clearing in the north of the state.
 
In NSW, there'll be early fog patchies, then a mostly sunny day, rain, heavy at times in the northeast.
 
Victoria can expect early fog patchies in the morning and partly cloudy, with isolated showers in the south.
 
Early fog patchies for parts of Tasmania, mild and partly cloudy with showers developing, mainly in the west.
 
In South Australia, there'll be early fog then becoming cloudier. A weak cool change for the south with light showers in the far southeast.
 
For Western Australia, a hot day in the north, warm in the south, cooler in the southwest with some showers and storms.
 
In the Northern Territory, some isolated showers and storms in the northeastern Top End, but mostly sunny and hot elsewhere.
 
Looking ahead to tomorrow. It will be mostly sunny in Brisbane and Sydney. Possible showers for Melbourne and Adelaide. Mostly sunny for Hobart, rain clearing in Perth and a mostly sunny day for Darwin.
