A cold front and a broad trough are causing areas of rain and storms over northern WA, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia as well as southern parts of the Northern territory and NSW. A high is directing onshore winds and light showers onto the Queensland coast while southern WA will see light showers as a result of brisk southernly winds. Looking around the country.
In Queensland, the east coast will see isolated showers, while most of the state remains fine and mostly sunny.
To NSW, areas of fog will be found in the northeast, with rain extending from the west, through to southern and central parts.
Victoria will see widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms which will move north and clear overnight.
Down to Tasmania, patchy rain in the north, scattered showers in the south and west, mainly fine elsewhere.
In South Australia, isolated thunderstorms towards Coober Pedy with scattered showers elsewhere.
Over in Western Australia, cloudy in the north and showers in south, with some rain through the interior.
And in the Top End, partly cloudy with showers near the north coast and in the east, sunny elsewhere.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities. Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne will be cloudy with light rain, it'll be partly cloudy in Adelaide and clouy in Hobart with a chance of showers. Mostly sunny in Perth and sunny in Darwin. |
