 Ahead of Friday's 50th anniversary of the slaying of President John F.Kennedy, President Barack Obama today is paying tribute to Kennedy's legacy. He joined former President Bill Clinton in laying a wreath at Kennedy's grave.

 
Earlier in the day, Obama presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to prominent Americans, including Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, singer Loretta Lynn, and former baseball star Ernie Banks. The medal was first conceived by Kennedy, but he was assassinated 2 weeks before he could honor the first recipients.
 
Media baron Rupert Murdoch and his wife, Wendi Deng Murdoch, have reached a divorce deal. The two appeared in a New York City court Wednesday to tell a judge they had arrived at a settlement to end their 14-year marriage. The terms were not disclosed in court.
 
And a pair of lion cubs are making their public debut at a zoo in the Gaza Strip. The mother, a 4-year-old African lioness had the litter on Sunday. It's believed to be the first time lions have been born in the tumultuous Gaza Strip.
