Paula Deen, back in the spotlight over the weekend, tearing up in her first public appearance since her apology for using racial slurs in the past. ABC’s DR has the story. For 10.3 millions before that audience wouldn’t stop clapping. Paula Deen couldn’t stop crying. Deen’s first public appearance since admitting to use racial slurs in the past came Saturday, at the metro cooking and entertaining show in Huston.
“Why do we make it?”
The queen of south cuisine was a storage fraction. Each of 150 people at the event paid as much as $400 a ticket to see her.
“The one plays that I’m gonna make up first step back out was Texas.”
Before * chef returned to the spotlight, comes after her former restaurant manager found a racial discrimination suit against her early this year. That suit made headlines in May when Deen met it with deposition. She has used the N word years ago. Last month a judge threw out part of the suit and Deen settled the rest. But the damage was done. The suit never cancelled her popular show and Deen lost $12.5 million in endorsements in product sales from retailers like Walmart and Target.
“Her brand really sold well, being a wholesome down to earth personality. And she seeks to that needing, then show will come back to her big brain that she was before the downfall.”
“I have a little rough patch.”
Making it clear, she is not leaving the kitchen, no matter how hard it gets.
