China’s Foreign Ministry has urged Japan to develop a correct understanding of history and draw lessons from its militarist past.
"Japanese leaders have made clear their stance by actions that show they want to revise history of the aggression and glorify class-A war criminals. We urge the Japanese to stop this behaviour and moving in the wrong direction. If Japanese leaders do not have a correct understanding on Japan’s military aggression and atone for that ... if they do not learn from history, stick to peaceful development, and adopt responsible policies, Japan will be led down a dangerous and incorrect path," said Hua Chunying, spokeswoman of Chinese Foreign Ministry. |
