2. Several Iraqi officials say more than 20 civilians have been killed Sunday in a series of car bombings and clashes between security forces and militants. The violence comes as Iraqi security forces and allied Sunni tribal militias continued to battle militants linked to al-Qaeda. 

 

3. Israelis are paying final respects to Ariel Sharon as they filed past the casket of the former general and prime minister in Jerusalem. Sharon died Saturday eight years after suffering a stroke that left him in a coma. He was 85.

 

4. And an unmanned cargo ship carrying supplies, experiments and even Christmas present docked with the international space station Sunday. The Cygnus, privately launched the supply ship, arrived 3 days after blasting off from Virginia.
