This morning, French president Francois Hollande is preparing to address allegations. He has been carrying on an affair with this woman, 41-year-old actress, Julie Gayet. Rumors of the a tryst began swelling after French magazine Closer published these pictures of a man, they say is Hollande wearing a helmet and riding a motor-scooter coming and going to meet Gayet in this Paris apartment, not far from the home he shares with first lady Valerie Trierweiler whose spokesman said suffered a big emotional shock after seeing the story. France says the news hit her like a high-speed train. She's been hospitalized for depression and extreme fatigue.

People traditionally haven't sympathized with Valerie Trierweiler. She doesn't have a charming personality in public, but I think now they are begining to see her as a woman scorned.

While Trierweiler acts as first lady, she and Hollande have never been married. The president has not denied the affair, but has said he greatly deplored the invasion of his privacy and is even threatening legal action.

According to a new French poll, 77% of French voters surveyed thought the president liaison should remain private and 8 in 10 said their opinions of him have not changed. But this was before Trierweiler's hospitalization was made public.

When you look at the polls that say 80% of the people believe this won't change their opinion of him. That is not good news. He has only got a 28% approval rate to begin with.

Gayet has not commented on the alleged affair, but her lawyer has reportedly obtained a legal injunction against the magazine for publishing these pictures.

Now a close friend of Trierweiler says she does not want to slam the door on her partner 7 years, she has prepared to forgive as long as he comes clean with his intentions and maybe we will hear those later this morning,10:30 eastern time, he has a press conference.

They got to get it all done before the state dinner here at the White House in February.
