A broad low-pressure system over the north is generating showers and storms over Western Australia and the Northern Territory. A high is striking moist onshore winds and showers over northern Queensland. Troughs over southern Western Australia and east Victoria are causing some rain. Let's take a look around the country.
Isolated showers along Queensland's central and northern coast. Hot in the west with a cool change in the southeast.
Showers in east and north New South Wales. Warm and mostly dry in the west.
More rain for eastern Victoria. Mostly dry in the west.
Cloudy but dry throughout Tasmania with cool conditions in the south.
South Australia will be warm and mostly sunny with some showers and thunder in the north.
To Western Australia where there will be showers and storms through the southwest to the northeast. Mostly sunny in the northwest.
And the Northern Territory will be very warm throughout with some showers and storms in the south and north.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capitals: thunderstorms in Brisbane, the chance of rain in Sydney, sunny in Melbourne, mostly sunny in Hobart, Adelaide and Perth, and late thunderstorms in Darwin. |
