　　Seeing is believing是一句家喻户晓的谚语，其出处现已无法考证，是代代普通民众长期积累流传下来的思想。这个谚语用一个中国的成语来对照就是：“眼见为实”，意译过来就是：“百闻不如一见”。因此，当美国人说"Seeing is believing."时，他/她要表达的意思就是"What you see is true."、"One eyewitness is better than ten hearsays."、"A picture is worth a thousand words."。
