South Korea's president says the actions of the crew who abandoned the sinking ferry are unacceptable and tantamount to murder. Divers have now recovered 64 bodies from the vessel, 240 are still missing, many of them are studnets. Seven crew members including the captain have been arrested. The family of two sister who were killed at home in Melbourn's Northeast yesterday say they are utterly devasted. Three-year-old Indianna and four-year-old Savannah were found in the house in Watsonia. A 35-year-old man believed to be their father was arrested at the scene. He'll face court tomorrow charged with murder.
Former New South Wales premier Neville Wran has been praised as a modern-day legend by labour party figures. For a ??? mourning his death at the age of 87. Mr. Wran was the premier of New South Wales for a decade in the 1970's and 1980's. He died last night in Sydney after suffering from dimentia.
And a Manly NRL Club says he's yet to speak to Brett Stewart. He's been charged with a low-range drinking offense. The 29-year-old fullback was pulled over by police on Sydney's northern beaches. He has been released and he's expected to face Manly local court in May. |
