Let’s take a look at the satellite. A deep trough moving over Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria is triggering widespread showers and the odd storm. Unstable air in the wake of the system is producing gusty showers about southeastern South Australia. Meanwhile, moist onshore winds steered by ridge are generating showers over the Queensland’s coast. Looking around the country, and in Queensland, rain in the southeast. Showers in the tropics. Cloud clearing in the west.
New South Wales can expect showers in the east. It will be cool throughout the state, and partly cloudy but mostly dry in the west.
To Victoria, showers are expected there, heaviest in the east.
It will be a chilly day in Tasmania with light showers in the south and southerly winds strongest in the northeast.
South Australia can expect patchy coastal showers in the south. Mostly dry about the northern and central parts.
In Western Australia, there will be light showers in the south.
And in the Northern Territory, there’ll be light showers along the coast. Dry elsewhere.
Now looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities. Sunny in Brisbane, cloudy in Sydney with scattered showers in afternoon. Melbourne can also expect some afternoon showers. Cloudy in Hobart and Adelaide. A cold morning for Perth. It will be sunny there. And in Darwin, it will be sunny there.
