 A low and cold front is generating showers over southeast South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and southern New South Wales. A trough is producing more showers across southeast Queensland while onshore winds are bringing some rain to the states of northern coast. A large high is keeping the rest of the country mostly dry.

Scattered showers about the far southeast of Queensland, clearing during the morning, fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. In New South Wales, isolated showers from the river Rihhna through to the southern and central ranges, early showers in the far northeast, and some snow falling on the Alps. Scattered showers for Victoria, falling mostly on and south of the dividing range. Possible thunderstorms near the coast, snow on the ranges. Showers about the north of Tasmania, clearing during the day. The possibility of showers developing later about the east and south coasts, mainly fine elsewhere. In South Australia, some isolated showers over southern agricultural areas with early fog patches over the Passtroll and Finders districts. To West Australia where there'll be showers with winds increasing in the southeast, mostly dry in the north. Mostly sunny across the Top End apart from great showers clearing on the northeast coast.
