1. The death toll (is) rising in the Middle East as fighting escalates between Israel and Hamas. Palestinian forces say 4 people were killed and 60 were wounded when an Israel tank shell struck a hospital. Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu say he will press on with this war against Hamas. 2. A team of international monitors has finally begun access to the victims of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. Armed Pro-Russian rebels allowed Dutch and European inspectors into refrigerated rail cars where nearly 200 bodies are being stored. Access to the crash side is still limited.
3. Johns Hopkins university agreed to 190 million dollars settlement after one of its gynecologist colleagues used a secret camera to report exams. The settlement will be split among more than 8,000 victims.
4. President Obama (is) signing executive order protecting gay rights. The new rule makes illegal for the government or its contractors to discriminate based on sexual orientation. He called on congress to extend the ban to all employees. |
