Ukraine's president Petro Poroshenko asked a joint meeting of Congress for a 'lethal' US military assistance to help win the war against Russian-backed separatists. Today the US has provided about 60 million dollars in non-lethal aid.

 

The Islamic State group has released a video showing a British photo journalist John Cantlie who says he is a prisoner of war. His name had not been mentioned among foreign hostages held by the group.

 

And hundreds of law enforcement officers lined the street outside the Grand Pennsylvania Church as slain trooper Bryan Dickson was laid to rest. Dickson was killed in an ambush outside his barracks last week. The suspect is still at large.
