This painting is big for a reason 这幅画有一个很了不起的地方
It's called "High Visibility"
它叫"高可见性"
It's about picking up the light and daring to be seen
它的主题是接收光芒 勇于被看到
I worked on this for so long, for weeks and weeks
我在这上面花了很多精力 整周整周都用在上面
like a mad man alone on a scaffolding
像一个疯子单独站在脚手架上
and when I was finished one of my friends said
完成后 一个朋友跟我说
This would be a cool black light painting
这幅画在黑光下肯定会很酷
So I started over
于是我重新开始
As far as I can tell, it's just about letting the universe know what you want
在我看来 重要的是 你要让宇宙知道你想要什么
and working toward it while letting go of how it might come to pass
并为之努力 不要在乎过程会有多么艰难
And when I say, "life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you"
我喜欢说 "生活并不是发生于你 而是为你发生"
I really don't know if that's true
我不知道是否真的是这样
I'm just making a conscious choice
我只是有意识地作出选择
to perceive challenges as something beneficial
去将挑战看作是有益的事情
so that I can deal with them in the most productive way
这样我就能以最多产的方式处理它们
You'll come up with your own style, that's part of the fun
你们也可以想出自己的风格 这也很有乐趣
Like many of you
和你们很多人一样
I was concerned about going out in the world and doing something bigger than myself
我很担心自己要到外面的世界上 做比自己更大的事情
until someone smarter than myself
直到有一天 一个比我聪明的人
made me realize that there is nothing bigger than myself
让我认识到 没有什么比我自己更大
You are ready and able to do beautiful things in this world
你们准备好了 而且有能力在这个世界上做出美妙事情
and after you walk through those doors today, you will only ever have two choices
今天 通过这些门之后 你们只有两个选项
love or fear
热爱 或是恐惧
Choose love, and don't ever let fear turn you against your playful heart
选择热爱 不要被恐惧吓得背离了自己所热爱的事业
