Hi, Kevin, say hello to the camera.
And I was, I was actually thought it would reach out. I didn’t actually touch the web camera, and I would do the same kind of like this. It was almost like we were holding hands.
From half a world away, US Air Force Major Kevin Seeley helped deliver his son.
It was like he was here.
Coached Dottie Sally through 8 hours of labor.
Deep breath, come on, you have to breathe to neath.
Scripps Memorial Encinitas Hospital set up the live web cam that linked Dottie's delivery room to an internet cafe where Kevin was deployed.
He was breathing on the other end for me.
Now, let a bit more now , push, sweatie.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6…
The 11-hour time difference separating the Seelys caused just a few minute delay for a crowd that are gathered around Kevin's laptop, who cheered as his son Truston took his first breath.
It was just that I was able to have him with me. It was the best support system ever.
Now 5 weeks old, Truston sees his dad every day on the web.
There he is!
Getting Big. Your Dad just disappeared momentarily.
And when there is a computer glitch, old-fashion technology works too.
I just can't wait to be there, and come home, and hold him.
But until then.
Hi five!
Hi, daddy! I'm sipping.
Hi five!
