Philadelphia police say she was abducted late Monday night. Surveillance video appears to show a man rushing to 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither toward a parked car. Authorities say her bank card was later used about 75 miles away in Maryland.
3. Thousands of Iranians chanted “Down with America” at a major anti-US rally in the Iran capital. The protests mark the 35th anniversary of the takeover of the US Embassy in Tehran by militant students. Fifty two Americans were held hostages for 441 days.
4. And Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson avoided jail time with a plea agreement in his child-abuse case. Peterson was indicted on a felony charge in September for using a wooden switch to discipline his son. |
