1. US officials are calling the recent Sony Pictures cyber attack a matter of national security. Department of State spokesperson Jen Psaki says the FBI is now leading the investigation after the comedy "The Interview" was pulled from its theatrical release. An unnamed US official says the damaging attack is linked to North Korea. 2. Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev returned to court Thursday for the first time since he was arraigned in July 2013. A lawyer for Tsarnaev says the defense plans to delay the start of his trial. Trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection on January 5th.
3. Fistfights and scuffles broke out in Kenya’s parliament as legislators passed a controversial security measure aimed to fight terrorism. Opposition legislators threw papers on the floor as chaos erupted outside the parliament doors, leading police to arrest dozens of protesters.
4. And a stretch of highway near Dayton, Ohio was closed down after a truck tipped over, spilling thousands of glass bottles of Miller Genuine Draft across the road. No injuries were reported following the suds-filled spill.
