 1. President Barack Obama will give a prime time speech Thursday night to announce steps he’s taking to shield up to 5 million immigrants illegally in the US from deportation. The president will travel to Las Vegas following the speech to promote the new plan. 

 
2. Police have rested a suspect in a deadly subway pushing incident in New York city. Authorities say 34-year-old Kevin Darden pushed Wai Kuen Kwok off a subway platform in front of an oncoming train. Darden was picked up by detectives Tuesday near his mother’s Bronx home. 
 
3. Israeli troops demolished the home of a Palestinian who carried out a deadly attack last month. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised strict security measures in the wake of Tuesday’s grisly synagogue assault. Netanyahu called the demolition a significant and important step.
 
4. And a massive toilet-shaped cake was unveiled in New Delhi, India as part of World Toilet Day. The super-sized commode weighed more than 1,500 pounds, kicking off an initiative to raise awareness of the need for clean sanitation.
