1. US intelligence officials say the 24 suspects arrested in an airplane terror plot were targeting ten flights from Britain to a number of US airports. They apparently planned to ignite a peroxide-based solution using an electronic device, and scheduled a rehearsal within two days to see if they could smuggle the materials on board.
2. Across the country, passengers stood in security lines for hours and trash cans overflowed with everything from mouthwash to shampoo and wine. It's all part of a massive security crackdown prompted by the discovery of the terror plot in Britain.

Six of the eleven Egyptian students who failed to show up for studies in Montana last month have now been taken into custody or turned themselves in, two of them in Manville, New Jersey on Wednesday, another at Chicago's O'Hare Airport Thursday morning. Authorities are still seeking five others, but say they have no known ties to terror groups, some likely planned to try to find work.
4. And in a Columbus, Ohio courtroom on Thursday, a judge set bond for former Ohio State football star Maurice Clarett at five million dollars. He was arrested Wednesday after a chase with police, who say they found four loaded guns in his vehicle.
