1. Hezbollah's chief claimed a ''historic, strategic victory'' over Israel. Hassan Nasrallah taped a message to his followers today. It is the first day of a ceasefire which seems to be holding.
2. President Bush says Hezbollah is actually the big loser in the war. He met today with the national security team and spoke at the State Department. He said the ceasefire resolution is an important step that will bring an end to the violence.
3. In Los Angeles, police evacuated an Alaska Airlines jet because of a suspicious item on board. All 125 passengers and crew were offloaded while the bomb squad and FBI searched the plane. The item did not contain explosives.
4. Barbaro is on the mend. X-rays on the Kentucky Derby winner showed no active infection. That's good news. The colt broke 3 bones in his right ankle in May, then got an infection in his left leg. But now he's taking daily walks.
