1. The search is still on for a missing man whose wife and children were rescued in a remote section of Oregon yesterday. Officials believe James Kim is still within a 5-mile range of the car that he left on Saturday. The family was last seen together on November 25th.
2. There is one more hurdle to cross for secretary of defense nominee Robert Gates. Gates won approval by a Senate panel today. A full vote is expected tomorrow.
3. Tugboats were helped out by Mother Nature's high tide as the USS Intrepid was moved from its Manhattan pier today. The 36,000-ton ship that was stuck in mud was towed to New Jersey for renovations.
4. Sylvester Stallone is giving the Smithsonian Institution the robe, trunks and gloves that he wore as boxer Rocky Balboa. The 60-year-old Stallone says he's honored but that he didn't expect to be with a dinosaur so soon.
