97 of the 405 passengers on the Eastern Star came from Shanghai. They had all booked their travel through an agency in the city. That is where family members of those onboard gathered this morning for more information. 

Anxious family members of those on board the ill-fated ship, gathered outside the Xiehe travel agency on Tuesday morning.

They wanted answers, but there weren’t any. The agency was empty. Security said employees had gone to the scene of the accident. Many are still in shock.

The local government moved family members to a nearby government building, where doctors are providing support for some shocked people.

Family members are now gathering inside this government building in Zhabei District of Shanghai, they are waiting anxiously for any information regarding their family. Many find out the incident through the news. They are calling for more information about the development of the rescue operation, but so far they have received no respond.

Many are considering going to the site of the incident in Hubei Province. But so far, there are no concrete plans on how and when will they go.
