Myanmar's opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi is now in Beijing for her first ever visit to China.

Her groundbreaking trip comes at the invitation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China.
Department head Wang Jiarui, who's also the vice chairman of China's top political advisory body, has held talks with Suu Kyi.
Suu Kyi, chair of Myanmar's National League for Democracy, is leading a delegation of several NLD lawmakers on a five-day trip to China.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei says China expects the visit can deepen the understanding between the two sides.

"The Communist Party of China has maintained a long-term friendship with various parties in Myanmar. We hope this visit can deepen the understanding and trust between the two parties and push forward the cooperation between China and Myanmar in various fields. "
Suu Kyi's party earlier announced that she will also meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang.
Myanmar media reports say her meeting with the Chinese leadership is expected to cover such issues as the military tension across the shared border and Chinese-invested projects in Myanmar.
Since her release from house arrest in 2010, Suu Kyi has said that her country must maintain friendly relations with China.
Her NLD is likely to perform strongly in Myanmar's elections later this year.
