 These are just samples of amazing finds we’ve got from these sites. We’ve got quite domestic looking tools. These types of things were probably to have been used to pierce holes in animal skin. We also found much bigger tools. This is an absolutely brilliant Tram shaped axe. These things are the posh of megalithic, really top quality flints used for making boats and chopping down trees. It’s not just about stones and flints also. We’ve got about 700 animal bones. And they are really big. These are from awe ox. These are 3 times the size of the normal cow. We have at least 6 awe cows in our assemblage. They must have been local. They are so big and seem a big effort to have transported them a long way. So, these animals are probably around ancient Spring of Stonehenge. Perhaps people living all around where we are now are seeing these animals moving across the landscape and getting opportunities to hunt. The existence of large clearing in otherwise dense forest made this a natural and bountiful hunting ground. One of the reasons why there is an open plain perhaps because out of such voracious seasons that like nature vacuum cleaners. Any wood lands or bush growth wouldn’t withstand much of chance if you had a large herd of animals moving through a place like this.
