 January 25th,1981. The 52 Americans held hostage by Iran for 444 days arrive home in the United States reuniting with their families at last.

1971. In Los Angeles, Charles Manson and three of his female followers are convicted of murder and conspiracy in the slayings of actress Sharon Tate and six others.
1994. Also in California, pop star Michael Jackson settles child molestation claims out of court, reportedly paying millions of dollars without admitting guilt. In 2003, Jackson is arrested and charged with molesting a child in a separate case, he’s acquitted on all counts nearly two years later.
1959. The jet age takes off in the United States as the American Airlines Boeing 707 makes the first scheduled transcontinental flight.
1981. Some people want it all. But I don't want nothing at allR&B singer Alicia Keys is born in New York City.
