 February 26th 1993 - In New York, a bomb built by an Islamic extremist explodes in the parking garage of the World Trade Center. The blast kills 6 people and injures more than 1000 others.  More than 8 years later, the Twin Towers falls in the September 11 Terrorist attacks.

1987 – The Tower Commission rebukes then President Ronald Reagan in its report on the Iran Contra Affair.It concludes that Reagan failed to control his national security staff in the “arms for hostage” scandal.
1815 – Napoleon Bonaparte escapes from exile on the isle of Elba to begin his second conquest of France.His return to power lasts just months until he is forced to step down after losing the Battle of Waterloo.
1928 - "I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill." Fats Domino - the R&B singer who became one of Rock and Roll's earlier stars ,is born in New Orleans.
And 1932 -  "I fell in to a burning ring of fire,I went down,down,down and the flames went higher.And it burns,burns,burns,the ring of fire."Singer-songwriter Johnny Cash ,country music's man in black is  born in Kingsland,Arkansas.
