In Chinese traditional culture, Daoism is the philosophy that more focuses on environment. Daoism’s idea is that nature and human beings have to be in harmony. But the people like us or activists are also encouraged by Confucianism, the Confucian idea that every individual is responsible for the state of the world and therefore must get involved in society. It’s a little bit revolting, isn’t it?  As disgusting. This is the domestic sewage and industrial waste water mixed. Is this flowing into the Yangtze? That’s for sure. This whole area is the part of Yangtze river valley. Is this the price of China’s economic boom? This is because there isn’t enough support of infrastructure to match the cities rapid development. Residential areas are expanding, but sewage system isn’t keeping up.
