A:I'm Andrew Graham-Dixon, and I'm an artist historian. G:I'm Giorgio Locatelli, and I'm a chef. We are both passionate about my homeland, Itlay. The smell, the colour. It's all about it. Their rich flavours and classic dishes of this land are in my Locatelli DNA. A: And this country's rich layers of art and history have captivated me since childhood. It's meant to make you feel as if you are being world up to heaven. We are stepping off the tourists track and exploring Itlay's northern regions, Emilia-Romagna, L* and P*. G: It's about Itlay that's often more than looked, but drive the all country and I want to show off its classic dishes. A: Not to mention its hidden legacy of artists, designers, intellectuals. One of the world's greatest buildings, B*. G:This week, we are in mid-Bologna, the birthplace of modern Italian cuisine.
A: And home to some of Italy's most fascinating artists and powerful dynasties.
G: We are beginning our journey to this wonderful region in Bologna, its capital. A: I first came here with my parents, when I was about 10 years old. And we must visit just about every church in the city, and everywhere we went we bought postcards of the * pieces, the sculptures, the paintings, and I was remembering going home and sitting at the kitchen table with my mom for about a week off or not, and we made this scrapbook. Maybe it's my very first lesson in art history. |
