Gyllenhaal has already starred in the blockbuster The Day After Tomorrow in 2004. But you will be more familiar with his film Brokeback Mountain. The film directed by Taiwan born director Ang Lee received rather complicated reactions for the theme homosexuality. Actually, for his father is a film director and his mother a film producer, Gyllenhaal had regular exposure to filmmaking. In fact he made his acting debut in the 1991 comedy City Slickers.
