1. Leaders from around the world met in Paris on Monday to continue ongoing talks regarding the growing threat of climate change. President Obama called the climate conference “a turning point” for the nations’ ability to save the planet.
2. An Illinois judge has set bond at 1.5 million dollars for a white Chicago police officer charged with murder. Officer Jason Van Dyke was seen in police dashcam video shooting a black teenager 16 times.
3. Pope Francis is returning to Italy after a two-day visit to Central African Republic. The pontiff visited a mosque and met with members of a Muslim community before delivering a mass in a packed stadium.
4. And after 20 years with the Lakers, basketball legend Kobe Bryant announced his retirement this weekend. Bryant has said his aching body and passion for the game had both grown weaker and this season will be his last.
