At the largest Catholic church in America, the Basilica Immaculate Conception in Washington,workers are urgently repairing and painting doors, changing light bulbs and even erecting a new altar.

Pope Francis is not even arrived in Washington yet,but souvenirs are all ready flying off the shelves.
