【英语时差8,16】麦克和亚曼达正在聊线上游戏(在线收听) |
Amanda: Hey Mike, why do you have dark circles under your eyes? Mike: I was up all night playing an online game. I just finished the last of my exams, so I decided to spoil myself. Amanda: I don't understand what you see in those games. Mike: They are fun. You can pretend to be all sorts of different characters with different abilities. The more you play, the more powerful your character gets and the more things you are able to do. Amanda: Isn't it repetitive killing the same monsters again and again? Mike: There are more to the games than just killing things. You can go on quests to find special items, and there are large worlds to explore. It is like reading a story, or seeing a movie, but you are one of the main characters. Amanda: If there are lots of places to go, I guess it would be a little more interesting. Mike: There is a strong social element as well. Most of the quests need to be done in groups, so you have to work together with people if you want to complete them. Amanda: It still doesn't sound like my thing, but if you have fun when you play them, then that is all that really matters. to pretend (v.) 假裝;假扮 When I was a little boy, I liked to pretend that I could fly. character (n.)
