2. A spokesman for a U.S led coalition said a series of U.S airstrikes in recent months have destroyed hundreds of millions of dollars of the Islamic State group's funds. The effort is part of a boarder campaign aimed at ridding the group's financial power. 

 

3. Pope Francis wrapped up his trip to Mexico on Wednesday with an open-air mass near the U.S border. The pontiff also visited a major prison, just days after a riot in another lockup killed 49 inmates.
