China has expressed 'serious concerns over the current situation of the Korean peninsula', and urged the DPRK to refrain from violating United Nations resolutions.

"We have serious concerns over the current situation of the Korean peninsula. We hope that the DPRK stops making any actions that violates the resolutions imposed by the UN Security Council. We also hope each side can maintain calm and avoid any actions that may intensify confrontations and tensions," Chiese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.
