1. For the first time, president Barack Obama met face-to-face with senate republicans to talk about choosing a supreme court nominee, following the death of justice Antonin Scalia. After the meeting, senator majority leader Mitch McConnell told reporters the vacancy will not be filled in 2016. 2. Voters in 12 states have been casting ballots in the biggest single day of voting, so far in this year's nominating contests, Super Tuesday. In an apparent slap at GOP front runner Donald Trump, house speaker Paul Ryan says anyone who wants to be his party's nominee must reject any racist group or individual.
3. A 14-year old Ohio boy accused in Monday's school shooting that injured 4 students has entered the equivalent of not guilty plea at a juvenile court hearing. Authorities haven't revealed the motive.
4. NASA astronaut Scott Kelly is nearing the end of a 340-days space mission, the longest journey by U.S astronaut by far. Kelly and his Russian counterpart leave the international space station Tuesday night for Wednesday scheduled landing on earth.
