As President Xi Jinping has kicked off his visit to the Czech Republic, many Chinese nationals living there expected the trip to build stronger solidarity of the Chinese community, and promote trade and cultural ties between the two sides.

"President Xi's visit is decisive in propelling the bilateral ties. And we Chinese people living here are very excited and have high expectations on this visit. It will boost our national pride and cohesion, and create more opportunities for the local Chinese," Fang Haijiang, Chinese living in Czech Republic, said.

"President Xi's visit will help the two peoples better understand each other. And bilateral exchanges will advance development of tourism and cultural sectors, which could generate more benefits for the two countries," Chen Qun, Chinese living in Czech Republic, said.

"President Xi's visit is the first state visit by a Chinese leader since the two countries established their diplomatic relations. We are very excited about it, and hope this high-level activity will bring our relations to a higher level," Guan Shaoji, Chinese living in Czech Republic, said.
