This is AP news minute. 1. President Barack Obama held his first post-election news conference on Monday. The president took the time to reassure the American public and oversea leaders that he will do all he can to make the smooth transition for the new president-elect Donald Trump. Obama then departed Washington for his last oversea trip as president, with stops in Greece, Germany and Peru. 2. Some 50 newly elected house members arrived in the nation's capital on Monday, to learn the ropes of their jobs in the 115th congress. They will join by the first latino senator, thee house members moving across the capital to the senate, and a few former lawmakers who seize their old job back. 3. Protesters around the country continue to push back against the election of Donald Trump as president. Students in Maryland, California and various other cities walked out of class on Monday. 4. And an extremely rare sea turtle has been discovered thousands miles from its habitat in north Wales. The turtle believed to be either Olive Ridley or Kemps Ridley species, both are very rare was found stranded on the beach in rather cold temperatures compared to its nature habitat in warmer tropical waters.
