日本首相安倍晋三上周一宣布，他将于本月晚些时候访问美国夏威夷的珍珠港，以悼念75年前日本突袭珍珠港的死难者。

　　Abe will be the first incumbent Japanese prime minister to visit Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, which was attacked by the Japanese military on Dec 7, 1941, killing more than 2,400 people and leading to Washington's entry into World War II.

　　安倍将是首位访问珍珠港的日本在任首相。1941年12月7日，日本军队对珍珠港发动袭击，造成逾2400人丧生，美国因此加入二战。

　　"We must never repeat the tragedy of the war," he said. "I would like to send this commitment. At the same time, I would like to send a message of reconciliation between Japan and the U.S."

　　安倍表示：“我们绝对不能重复战争悲剧，我愿意做出这个承诺。与此同时，我还想释放出日本和美国之间已经和解的信号。”

　　The White House confirmed a meeting in Hawaii on Dec. 27, saying "the two leaders' visit will showcase the power of reconciliation that has turned former adversaries into the closest of allies, united by common interests and shared values."

　　白宫方面随后证实了将于12月27日于夏威夷进行访问的消息，并宣称：“两位领导人的此次会面将展示和解的力量，它能将以前的对手变成最亲密的盟友，我们会因共同的利益和相同的价值观团而结在一起。”

　　During his visit to Hawaii on Dec 26 and Dec 27, Abe will offer flowers at the memorial in Pearl Harbor and also hold talks with US President Barack Obama.
