This is AP news minute. 1. A jury has convicted Dylann Roof in the racially motivated slayings of nine black parishioners in a South Carolina church. The jury will return in January to consider if Roof should be sentenced to death for the June,2015 attacks. 2. The White house suggested Thursday that Russian president Vladimir Putin personally authorized the hacking of democratic officials' email accounts in the run-up to the presidential election. The White House press secretary also leveled in a stunning attack on Donald Trump himself, saying he must have known of Russia's interference. 3. The season's first bitter cold spell is gripping the Great Lakes and northeast region with highs ranging from 20 to 30 degrees below average. Forecasters say lake-effect snow will be accompanied by winds of 30 to 50 miles per hour, that could gust as high as 65 miles per hour in some areas. 4. And hundreds of deaf and disabled people attended a salsa concert in Bogotá, Columbia. The deaf member of the audience stood on a special platform that vibrates to the sound of beat.
