Zhao Chunhua, a 51-year-old vendor of roadside shooting gallery in northern China's Tianjin municipality, has been sentenced to 3.5 years for illegal gun possession.

 

The sentence shocked the public and caused widespread debate about the criteria for legally defining guns.
