1. President Trump's pick to be the new national security adviser has turned down the job. Vice admiral Robert Harward says his decision is purely personal. 

2. NATO defense minister has decided to beef up the alliance of NATO presence in the black sea. NATO secretary general says more war games and training are planned in the area, in response to Russia's increasingly aggressive moves. 

3. California man has pleaded guilty to buying the high-powered rifles that were used in the San Bernardino terror attack.  Enrique Marquez also pleaded guilty to planning attacks with a gunman  Rizwan Farook that were never carried out. 

4. And authorities in central Florida say a 2000-acre brush fire has been contained. Hundreds of Hoke county residents who were evacuated have been allowed to return home.
