President Trump has named a new White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. On Friday afternoon, Scaramucci came out to conduct the first on-camera briefing in several days. Sean Spicer, who was the White House’ Press Secretary and Communications Director, resigned earlier in the day. 

Clean-up is underway after a powerful earthquake shook seaside resorts in Greece and Turkey. The quake killed 2 tourists on the Greek island of Kos and injured nearly 500 people across the region.   

In Jerusalem, an escalating dispute over metal detectors at Temple Mount turned violence, setting off widespread clashes between Palestinian stone-throwers and Israeli troops. 3 Palestinians were killed and several dozens injured. 

On Friday afternoon, the President met with survivors from the USS Arizona that was sunk at Pearl Harbor. Only 75 sailors were assigned to the Arizona battleship, survived the sink on December 7th, 1941.
